Whitney Museum Officers in NYC Vote LEOSU YES by a Score 25 to 7 Welcome to Our Family
3/12/2012 New York City - Today the Whitney Museum security officers had there voices heard loud and clear when they voted 25 to 7 in favor of the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions LEOSU. These Whitney Museum security officers were presently represented by Local 153 OPEIU who was prohibited from appearing on the ballot based on Section 9(b)3 of the National Labor Relations Act because they were a mix guard union. Once Local 153 OPEIU was determined it could not appear on the NLRB ballot, a new security union called the "Whitney Braves" headed by one of the Whitney Museum security officer shop stewards was formed with the help of Local 153 OPEIU and its attorneys.
Once the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions LEOSU exposed this scam Union, Local 153 OPEIU / Whitney Braves, it wasn't long to gain the support needed to win this NLRB election. Jesse Jenkins one of the leading Whitney Museum security officers leading the charge on behalf of LEOSU noted that "the Whitney Braves has nothing to offer the officers. Unlike LEOSU, the Whitney Braves had no financial resources or experience in negotiating any type of union contract. Why would we want to vote for a startup Union like the Whitney Braves that cannot help me and our fellow Whitney Museum security officers?"
"We need a real Union like the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions LEOSU who has a proven track record and has the financial resources and experience to negotiated a Union contract that will protected our Whitney Museum security officers" noted Jenkins.
We wish to welcome the Whitney Museum security officers into the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions LEOSU family.
