Trinity College Campus Safety Officers & Dispatchers Will Soon Be Voting to Join Our Union
Hartford, CT – On Friday June 4th through Monday June 21st the full-time and regular part-time Campus Safety Officers and Dispatchers working at Trinity College in Hartford, CT will soon have an opportunity to vote for the United Federation LEOS-PBA Law Enforcement Officers Security & Police Benevolent Association in a a secret NLRB mail ballot election.
On 5/5/2021 Trinity College Campus Safety Officers and Dispatchers filed a RD election to decertify their present International Union. After a number of Trinity College Campus Safety Officers and Dispatchers learned that a NLRB RD petition would essentially leave these Trinity officers without a Union making them "AT-WILL" employees they immediately contacted the United Federation LEOS-PBA Law Enforcement Officers Security & Police Benevolent Association organizing department for help in intervening in this election, which we immediately did upon proof of our showing of interest which was submitted to the NLRB.
To date our 1,000 members of the present International have voted to join our Union the United Federation LEOS-PBA as well as our affiliated Unions. This includes the Paragon System Inc officers in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Imperial counties.
In addition our Union was successful in winning our Exelon Braidwood nuclear election and we will know the election results of the Ginna Nuclear G4S election this Thursday. In this particular election the incumbent International Union disclaimed interest in this group after our Union filed an election to represent these Ginna Nuclear officers.
