ICE Protesters Try to Destroy 26 Federal Plaza in NYC Paragon Officers Stand Strong on Frontline

NYC September 17, 2020 - About 100 demonstrators convened at Foley Square around 4 p.m. and marched 90 minutes later to the federal building, which houses both FBI headquarters and ICE’s New York City field office. The rally was held in the wake of a recent whistleblower complaint that immigrant women detained in Georgia received hysterectomies without consent. Paragon Systems, Inc Protective Service Officers who are are represented by the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions LEOSU, LEOS-PBA and who are well trained immediately went into action to stop the ICE protesters from entering the building 26 Federal Plaza after they smashed through the doors and sprayed graffiti outside of the building. The walkway leading to the building was spray-painted “FREE THEM ALL” and a security booth was tagged “QUIT YOUR JOB!!” as a lone officer sat inside it.

"Thank god all our members were safe". noted LEOSU Organizing Director Steve Maritas. "We commend our Paragon Protective Service Officers for a job well done". LEOSU presently represents the 318 Paragon PSO's at 30 locations throughout New York City, the Bronx and Westchester. and on September 15th 2020 won an election to represent the 345 PSO's in Los Angeles, Orange County and surrounding areas.
