LEOSU Representatives & General Counsel Grant Lally Meet With Retired Major Chuck Kilbride to Di
Mineola NY - On August 26, 2019 LEOSU General Counsel Grant Lally of the law firm of Lally & Misir, LLP and LEOSU Political Action Director met with Long Island Retired Major Chuck Kilbride at LEOSU's National office to discuss this years United State Marine Kick Off Toys For Tots Program which LEOSU will be sponsoring this year. "LEOSU looks forward to helping these underprivileged children receive Christmas gifts and toys and we look forward to working with our longtime friend Retired Major Chuck Kilbride in this charitable event" noted LEOSU General Counsel Grant Lally.
Retired Major Chuck Kilbride described how he became the Chairman of Toys for Tots in Nassau County and said “The Marines asked me if I wanted to be in charge of toys for tots and I said sure, why not? One of my best memories is when I was up in North Shore Hospital delivering toys to the pediatric unit. There was a little girl who had just got her third bone marrow transplant. She looked up at one of the Marines that was with us and told him he was her hero. The Marine took off his medals pinned them on the little girl and told her ‘No, you are my hero.’ It really goes to show you that the Marines are the kid next store. They have heart. They are there to serve and protect.”
