The Hospital Security Officers Working at Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers NY Vote Overw
Yonkers, NY - Thirty (30) security officers working at Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, NY voted
Overwhelmingly in Favor of LEOSU Representation on June 16, 2017. These New York hospital security officers have noted one of the major reasons why they choose to organize with the LEOSU was that for years now they have been underpaid compared to some of the areas other hospitals.
LEOSU Organizing Director Steve Maritas had noted that the Union will be seeking significant wage increase in our attempt to bring these hospital security officers up to par with the rest of the industry as well as strong CBA language that will protect these officers rights.
Spearheading the Union organizing drive was Quentin Howard and Herbert Segarra who did a fantastic job in delivering the message that these officers needed to vote for LEOSU. In the end management only received only one (1) vote out of 30 eligible voters sending a strong message to management.
To date this victory comes off the heals of three hospital victory's, MedStar Washington Hospital Center in DC, where Congressman Steve Scalise is being treated after a active shooter terrorist attack occurred just a week ago, Baystate Franklin Hospital in Massachusetts and Woman's and Infants Hospital in Rhode Island.
