Hartford Connecticut - The campus public safety officers & dispatchers protecting Trinity College made their voices heard today by voting for LEOSU, over the Security Police Fire International Union who has a long history of Embezzlement and Corruption as well as Department of Labor and NLRB Violations.
While the LEOSU was victorious today, the LEOSU was just five votes short from achieving a 51% majority vote due to the fact five officers voted for no union representation. Under Board rules when two unions are on the ballot, the winning union must not only win the election it must do so by a 51% total majority vote otherwise the two top choices go on to a runoff election. That's what happened in this case noted LEOSU Organizing Director Steve Maritas.
who stated that he welcomes a quick runoff election. "We beat the Security Police Fire International today, and we will do it once again the next time around. This time though it will be a straight out vote vs. a 51% majority rule vote"
Rhode Island - Woman and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, lead officers, security officers, security associates and parking lot security attendants voted by a score of 32 to 2 in favor of LEOSU representation. Shown here are Marguerite DI Petrillo, Laura Mc Cormick and Javier Ortiz.
We wish to welcome everyone from Woman and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island into the LEOSU family.
