The Fight for $15 Starts in Richmond Virginia as These Allied Universal Officers Vote UNION YES by a

Richmond, Virginia - Allied Universal security officers in Richmond, Virginia stood united and strong from the moment they decided to unionize with the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions (LEOSU-DC) back in December 2016 by voting UNION YES on Tuesday January 24, 2017 in a landslide victory.

This is a very big victory for these Allied Universal Richmond, Virginia security officers noted Washington DC Director Brikener Jean-Giles. When you get almost 96% of a unit voting for unionization, with the employer only receiving 4 votes you are sending a strong message to your employer that something is wrong at your facility.

For these Allied Universal Richmond officers the problem started when the employer tried to takeaway their existing vacation and 401k benefits under a new policy following the recent merger of AlliedBarton and Universal Protective Service. Now add to the fact that many of these armed Allied Universal security officers only make $13.50 per hour while the unarmed security officers are making only $10.00 per hour, you can see why this vote was a landslide victory. We welcome these new officers to the LEOSU-DC Family.

This victory was just the start of a national campaign for the Fight for $15 for all Allied Universal security officers nationwide. For more information please visit : www.FIGHTFOR15NOW.COM
