143 Armed Omniplex Security Officers Working at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Virginia and Washington DC Will Soon be Voting For LEOSU-DC Representation

Washington DC - The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) will soon be conducting a mail ballot election to determine if 143 armed security officers working for Omniplex in Washington DC and Virginia wish to be represented by the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions (LEOSU-DC). 

 

The election will be conducted by mail. The mail ballots will be mailed to employees employed in the appropriate collective-bargaining unit from the office of the National Labor Relations Board, Region 05, on July 21, 2016. Voters must return their mail ballots so that they will be received in the National Labor Relations Board, Region 05 office by close of business on August 10, 2016. The mail ballots will be counted at the Region 05 office located at BANK OF AMERICA CENTER, TOWER II, 100 S. CHARLES STREET, STE 600, BALTIMORE, MD 21201 at 3:30 p.m. on August 11, 2016.


All full-time and regular part-time armed security officers employed by OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation at the FDIC locations presently located in Washington D.C., and, Arlington, Virginia, , excluding managers,professionals, clericals, sergeants, lieutenants, and supervisors as defined in the Act.

 

Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions LEOSU-DC is an organization in which employees participate, and which exists for the purpose, in whole or in part, of dealing with employers concerning grievances, labor disputes, wages, rates of pay, hours of employment, or conditions of work and is a labor organization within the meaning of Section 2(5) of the Act.

 

Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions LEOSU-DC is qualified to represent the unit within the meaning of Section 9(b)(3) of the Act.
