The Long Island Training Center is a state of the art facility specializing in training courses geared to the serious security professional. At the Long Island Training Center our certified instructors offer students security guard training from basic general topics to more specialized and in-depth classes. All courses are taught by experienced instructors who have many years of experience in the field of security, as well as extensive experience teaching security guard, defensive driving, CPR/First Aid and public safety courses; courses developed to meet or exceed requirements and expectations.
Raymond Bieselin is a highly decorated retired Nassau County Police Officer with over 28 years of experience in several areas serving the residents of Nassau County as a Police Officer in many areas of the Department. Mr. Bieselin was a Police Officer in the 1st Precinct, Training Instructor at the Police Academy, Officer assigned to the Narcotics Bureau and the Applicant Investigations Bureau. Mr. Bieselin gained extensive experience with respect to investigations during his years in the Narcotics and Applicant Investigations Unit where he conducted many undercover assignments and conducted background check investigations during his work screening potential candidates for the police department.
Prior to September 11, 2001, Mr. Bieselin was assigned to the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management where he represented Nassau County during all emergencies as well as worked with School Districts throughout Nassau County with emergency preparedness. During his seven-year tenure at the Office of Emergency Management, Mr. Bieselin co-authored the Countys Special Needs Evacuation Plan, and was the Hazard Mitigation officer for Nassau County working on several projects including Project SAVE and Project Impact. During his seven years at the Office of Emergency Management, Mr. Bieselin received extensive training in the areas of Exercise Design and Planning, Damage Assessment, Incident Command and Mass Casualty Incidents.
Joseph Saglimbene is a highly decorated retired New York City Correction Captain with over 20 years of experience in both law enforcement and the Security Sector. Mr. Saglimbene served our Country in the United States Air Force where he developed a vast in-depth knowledge of all aspects of security.
In the 30 years in the security sector, Mr. Saglimbene has extensive experience in all aspects of the security sector including but not limited to Investigations, Assessments, Security Guard Services, Accident Investigations and Drivers Safety. Mr. Saglimbene received extensive training from the Institute of Police Technology and Management in At-Scene Traffic Crash/Traffic Homicide Investigations and Crime Scene Management. Throughout his career, Mr. Saglimbene has been considered an expert in his field and has been the recipient of numerous honors including the New York City Department of Correction Meritorious Duty and Exceptional Merit Awards. In addition to his service to the Department of Correction, Mr.Saglimbene served as both Past President of the Fraternal Order of Police and the New York City Department of Correction Columbia Association.
Raymond Scotto is a decorated retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer with over 20 years of experience. After proudly serving our country in the United States Air Force, Instructor Scotto began his career as an Officer/Firearms Instructor with the United States Department of Justice, training and developing curriculum in numerous courses including “Munitions”, “Chemical Agents”, “Use of Force” (Lethal/Less Lethal) and the use and handling of short and long range weaponry. In addition to Mr. Scotto’s extensive law enforcement training and “Master of Instructor” designation, Instructor Scotto is also a certified/licensed locksmith with expertise in entry and disengagement practices.
Throughout his career, Instructor Scotto has been considered an expert in his field and has been the recipient of numerous honors and recognitions including the bestowment of “Instructor of the Year” and “Officer of the Year” as well as several “Sustained Superior Performance” titles. Instructor Scotto remains a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Police and has been designated as a “Life” and “Life of Duty” member of the National Rifle Association, where he remains a certified Handgun and Shotgun Firearms Instructor.
James Lawrence is currently an active Federal Law Enforcement Officer with over 20 years of Law Enforcement experience with the United States Department of Justice/Bureau of Prisons. In addition to being a firearms instructor and Certified Armorer, James is also certified in Less than Lethal and Chemical Munitions and Executive Protection/Escort including air transportation. James served as Assistant Squad Leader for the Disturbance Control Team, which includes numerous aspects of tactical training.
